Why
do guys lie about having sex?
Some people lie about having sex so that they can look cool. What
is cool about lying to make yourself into something that you're
not? There are so many times when we are presenting in the classrooms,
that Mr. Cool in the back of the room will be making fun of the
program and talking about how many girls he's had. Then, after
class, he'll come up to our presenters and tell them that he's
really a virgin and he just didn't want to ruin his image. Some
image! Be real! Stand up for what you believe and don't let people
pressure you into doing anything that you aren't ready to do.

What
do you think is a reasonable age to start having sex?
Well,
what do you think is a reasonable age to have a baby, or get an
STD? How old do you think you should be before you start dealing
with the emotional hurts that come along with having premarital
sex? There is no magic age to start having sex. What USA100 says
is that you should wait until marriage! Why? Because we know that
marriage provides the best circumstances for raising children
and it is the safest place for your sexual and emotional health!
Sex is fun! But outside of marriage it comes with consequences.
Until you are ready to deal with the consequences you are not
ready to have sex!

I'm
pregnant - now what?
O.K. first this is not the end of the world and you WILL
make it. You have several options. You can choose to parent the
baby, place the baby for adoption or have an abortion. I wish
I could tell you that there is an easy way out that will make
everything better, but there's not. None of these choices are
easy.
If
you chose to parent the baby it would definitely change the way
that you live, but there are many teens that have made that choice
and wouldn't have it any other way. Some people who know that
they can't be a parent right now, but don't want to have an abortion
choose adoption.
Adoption
is a very loving choice. It gives the baby a chance to have a
great life and it allows you to move on with yours.
Abortion
is another option. A lot of times abortion is made out to be the
only option and a quick fix to an undesirable problem. Abortion
is not an easy way out. Sure you're no longer pregnant anymore,
but it doesn't end there. Many women deal with strong emotional
effects and some physical effects for years after their abortion.
Remember
that you have choices and there are places that will help you
discuss all your options before you make any decisions. But you
don't have to take my word for it. See for yourself.

that have made each of these choices.

What
about condoms?
USA100 is a program that is not about "safe sex" but
"saving sex" until you're in a lifelong committed relationship
i.e. marriage. We know that abstinence is the only 100% effective
way for you to protect yourself from diseases, pregnancy and pain.
Condom companies will tell you themselves that their products
are not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy or protecting against
disease. Besides that, condoms do nothing to protect you against
the emotional aspects that come along with sex. So save yourself
from all the risks and just save yourself.

I've
already had sex. Is it too late for me?
First, I want to start off by saying that USA100 is not
here to make anyone feel bad. We are just trying to bring out
the facts so that you can make informed decisions. With that said,
I will move on to the question at hand. It's never too late to
start over! Everyone makes choices they regret, but you don't
have to keep making that same choice. Realize that you are special
and that you are a gift that one day you will give to the man
that you love on your wedding day. Wait for that moment with joy
and excitement. Understand that you can't change your past but
you can impact your future!

Where
can I get tested?
Start off by talking to your parents or another trusted
adult. I know you are thinking that I must have lost my mind to
even suggest that, but you will be surprised at how supportive
they can be (after they get over the initial shock). If you feel
that there is no way that you can talk to your parents then you
can always go to your local health department. Here is a link
to the locations of all the health departments in Pinellas County.

Remember
that you NEED to get tested! Just because you may not have any
symptoms does not mean that you don't have a disease. There are
many STD's that don't show symptoms right away. So get tested!
It's your life.
