"I
can only say it was wonderful." William J. Smith
In
response to the [USA100 presentation] at St. Petersburg College,
St. Pete Gibbs campus by Diana VanNortwick, I can only say that
it was wonderful. My players were absolutely delighted to see
Diana. There were some present from last year's presentation
and they knew what to expect. There was a fabulous dialogue
between the students and Diana, which made for an excellent
outcome. I believe that this kind of information has been very
valuable to our players. Previous to these sessions, we were
losing a player each year to unsuspected pregnancy, which in
turn interrupted the young lady's athletic career not to mention
their educational pursuits. These sessions with your presenters
have become a permanent part of our yearly scheduling. That
is, for as long as you are willing to present your materials.
I think it’s an absolutely necessary presentation that
ALL college students should witness. Thank you for all that
you do for the community.

"They
encourage the students...therefore
empowering our young adults" Debbie Porter
I am an 8th grade health teacher and I utilize the speakers
from the United Students for Abstinence 3 times each school
year. Each time they come, my students truly enjoy the 3-day
presentation and all the personal stories the speakers share.
The speakers utilize great overheads with simple messages that
students remember easily. The speakers focus on informing the
students that they have choices and how valuable their body
really is. They encourage the students with their words and
really discuss the consequences of making a poor choice, at
an early age. Their message is abstinence, but they convey it
in such a way that the students make that conclusion on their
own…therefore empowering our young adults!

"...unique,
real, and eye-opening"

As an 8th Grade Health teacher, I am always looking for powerful,
creative ways to encourage abstinence among my students. USA100
is a program that impacts young people in a unique, real and
eye-opening way. It is not just another lecture saying, "Don't
have sex!" It is instead, a discussion on choosing positive
relationships, avoiding consequences and looking towards the
future. By speaking on the students' level, they
reach, not only their minds, but their hearts.
